Brands play a key role in delivering what consumers want, they can be a reason for coming to stores and if they’re not available, they can be a reason for leaving a store, or not coming in the first place.
The bottom line is that brands need retailers to succeed in almost all cases, because going direct to the consumer is complex, costly, and isn’t what the consumer is looking for in sectors where they use retail outlets to purchase multiple products each visit.
