Neil and his family have owned McCurrach since its formation in 1898. He first joined McCurrach in 1977, bringing with him a wealth of experience from previous roles in FMCG. In 1993 he progressed to CEO and led the longest period of sustained growth in McCurrach’s history by expanding into new territories and markets. Today Neil is the Deputy Chairman. He is still closely involved with the business and retains close links with business and industry contacts.
Angus joined McCurrach in 2011 as Chief Executive, bringing with him a wealth of experience from a number of high profile marketing and customer insight positions at P&G, PepsiCo and Prudential. Immediately prior to joining McCurrach, Angus was the Morrisons Group Marketing Director for 4 years. Here at McCurrach he has combined his experience across retail, FMCG and the Financial Services sector. Angus was an IGD board member for 6 years until 2017, and retains a broad relationship network as a result.
James is our most recent addition to the McCurrach Group, joining in July 2016.
As a 35 year veteran of the European Consumer Goods industry, James has a strong track record for delivering top and bottom line growth. He is a multi-skilled, multi-lingual, team-orientated executive; and a proven performer in both corporate and private equity environments. Previously, James was CEO of Findus group and prior to that he held many senior positions at Unilever for a number of years.
He has worked extensively with many leading European retailers to grow revenues for both suppliers and customers, and has broad market knowledge of retail systems across Europe.
Lindsay joined McCurrach in 2015 after 15 years of experience in the retail sector. Immediately prior to joining McCurrach Lindsay spent 4 years with Sainsbury’s as a Category Buying Manager in electricals, and previous roles before this were held in Home Retail Group and Lloyds Pharmacy where she led commercial and trading category teams across a number of general merchandise areas. As Technology Director, Lindsay is responsible for the Microsoft and HP account teams.
Joining in September 2009 as Non-Executive Director, Tony brought valuable manufacturing and grocery industry insight to the Board. His experience comes from 35+ years in the UK Grocery market. In his previous role as Unilever Vice President of Customer Development, UK & Ireland, Tony was one of the most influential individuals in the UK & Ireland consumer goods market, and developed main board level relationships with all the major retailers and wholesalers. Today he remains well connected to the constantly changing grocery market.
Michelle has been with McCurrach for over 18 years. She joined the business as Financial Controller in 1999, progressed to Finance Director in 2006 before being appointed as Group Finance Director in 2011. Today Michelle is Company Secretary responsible for all financial aspects of group strategy, overall financial operations, reporting, legal and governance matters. In addition, her role has a strong commercial focus, covering aspects such as new business negotiations and pricing. Most recently Michelle has also been supporting our European acquisition ambitions.
Chris joined McCurrach as Managing Director of Financial Services in 2011. Prior to joining McCurrach he held a number of senior sales and marketing leadership roles at Prudential and HBOS, spanning a 20 year career. In his role as Managing Director of McCurrach Financial Services, Chris has been instrumental in delivering and leading our growth strategy in the Financial Services market.
Andy joined McCurrach as Grocery Director in 2013, having spent over 19 years working in the retail and wholesale sectors. Prior to joining McCurrach, Andy spent 12 years at Tesco, where he was a Category Buying Manager, leading teams across both Fresh and Packaged Grocery. At McCurrach Andy is responsible for the Unilever, Heineken, Kerry Foods, Kimberly-Clark account teams, the Sales Engineering & Insight team, with additional responsibility for overall development of the McCurrach Foodservice offering.
After initially joining us as a Territory Manager in 1998, Gordon has since held a number of Account Controller positions for key Grocery accounts, as well as working across business support functions including insights and business development. In 2016 Gordon was appointed to Development Director where his responsibilities include proposition development, managing the marketing team and considering how we position ourselves in the market to optimise growth.
Peter joined McCurrach in 1988 as a Territory Manager and progressed through line management, account management and marketing roles at McCurrach before being appointed as Director in 1999, when the company extended its operations into England and Wales. He has been responsible for establishing several of the existing McCurrach portfolio of major Grocery clients. As Grocery Director Peter is responsible for managing the Nestlé UK and Ireland teams, Merial account teams and Ireland Country Leadership and Business Development. Peter has been a member of the McCurrach Group Board since September 2015.
Adrian first joined McCurrach as a Territory Manager in 1996 right when the business first expanded into England & Wales. He has since worked across almost all McCurrach Grocery clients, and a number of business support functions where he has held various senior positions. Adrian was appointed to his current role as HR & Capability Director in 2012 where he leads McCurrach’s HR and IT strategies, as well as heading up its business processes engineering.
In 2016 Linda was appointed Activation Director and retains full trading responsibility for the Activation UK and Ireland business.
David joined the business in 1999 as a Territory Manager and built a breadth of experience over the next few decades including line management and commercially focused roles across a number of our accounts. In 2010 David was appointed Unilever UK Commercial Controller, and subsequently European Development Controller, where he was tasked with developing business contacts in European markets through new and existing clients to support European growth plans. In 2016 David was appointed as PepsiCo Account Director and assumed full trading responsibility for the PepsiCo UK and Ireland business.
