Spicing Up Morrisons With Tactical Activation for Bart Ingredients

Bart Ingredients approached us asking for support in implementing new herbs and spices equipment across Morrisons stores.

We were asked to gain agreement from the stores to install and merchandise new on shelf pushers next to Morrisons own brand herbs and spice range in 488 stores all within a 4-week window.

In addition to the kit installation the team had to make sure the new planogram was fully implemented in every store they visited.

The Activity

Our Wave team took the opportunity to work with Bart Ingredients because it was a channel in which we have a lot of expertise in merchandising and installing equipment. Working closely with Bart we developed a robust field briefing document that allowed the field managers to hold remote training sessions with the tactical activators prior to the store visits, making sure that all activators understood the activity and how to implement it in store.

Once the activity was live our activators visited stores, speaking with store managers to gain agreement to site the new equipment into the shelf fixtures. Our team then completely de-merchandised the fixture, installed the new shelf pushers, then re-merchandised the entire fixture in accordance with the new planogram. Successful installations have resulted in additional monthly merchandising on behalf of Bart Ingredients across the Morrisons store portfolio.
