The Brief

Retirement Advantage, an award-winning retirement income company, engaged our Financial Services Division to support the launch of their innovative retirement income product. The new product embraced the benefits of the Pensions Freedoms reform and would make Retirement Advantage one of the first-to-market with such a product.

We were asked to increase our existing sales team by 60%, which includes both Telephone Account Managers and field based Business Development Managers, and fully train everyone on Retirement Advantage’s new offering. The final task was to launch and promote the product to thousands of Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) in the UK.

The Activity

The recruitment for the significant uplift in sales team resource was completed within five weeks of sign-off, and the additions to the team were live within three weeks of joining the business following a comprehensive and successful training and launch process.

With sole distribution responsibility for Retirement Advantage’s UK market, including support of all national distribution outlets, we set about creating panels of IFAs to target. We built a strategy for monthly contact with around 3000 adviser firms, consisting of circa 10,000 individual advisers. Our expert team discussed every quote to ensure all angles and options were covered according to client requirements. 

Feedback was also provided from the market coverage to assist with product enhancements to make sure Retirement Advantage remained the leading competitor in the market.
